Mitch Holder has been part of the Los Angeles music scene as a guitarist for many decades, spanning the varied areas of the recording world from records to movie soundtracks to TV shows to jingle work. His expertise has taken him into the world of pop, rock, R 'n B, funk, world music, jazz, blues, country, symphonic, show music, opera and just about everything in between. He has also been involved in guitar design and both the history of the instrument as well as the evolution of the players that brought the guitar to the light of day from the annals of being solely a rhythm instrument.

Mitch is eager to share his artistry of the guitar and to spread interest in improvisation to people all over the world. Mitch started out in jazz and expanded to be able to play all styles while participating in studio and session work over many years. Even during his busiest studio career, Mitch has always carried a few students and over the ensuing years has taught individually, conducted clinics and guitar workshops and helped his students take the mysteries out of improvising, whether it be in stylizing a particular way or soloing techniques.
